EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Spring 2016 Distribution/Outreach Internship

Go-valley is seeking mature, motivated interns to assist producers in releasing 2 feature-length documentaries with upcoming top-tier festival premieres. TOWER tells the untold story of the survivors and heroes of the 1966 UT Tower shooting. A Song For You: The Austin City Limits Story tells the past, present and future of America’s longest running music television program. Both films are currently in the final stages of post-production and will be playing at festivals this spring.

We are looking for mature, reliable interns with good time management skills who are motivated to learn about this stage of filmmaking. Working with the producers and director, interns will assist in planning and executing the rollout of both films. This internship will not focus on production, but will offer the opportunity to learn about this often overlooked phase of filmmaking which includes taking films to film festivals, working with distributors, and planning outreach endeavors.

This internship is ideal for an aspiring producer or director who is particularly interested in documentary work. Hours are flexible but we are looking for someone to join us for 12-15 hours per week, preferably 2 days a week, February - May with possibility to extend. The internship is not limited to students. The positions are unpaid but will qualify for school credit or stipend.
